You can add cash for free at any Dollar General location1 - or for a fee at thousands of other locations.
Add cash with ease
You can add as much as $500 or as little as $20 per transaction. Limits apply. Give the amount of cash you wish to add to the cashier (as well as any necessary fees), swipe your card or scan your barcode, and your money is quickly added to your account. You can add funds at thousands of other locations including Duane Reade®, Speedway®, Walgreens® and Walmart®. A fee of up to $3.95 will apply. Fees for adding cash vary by retailer.
Here's how to add cash with barcode reload:

Mobile App
Open & log in to the spendwell mobile app.2 Go to Money In and click/tap Add with Barcode.

Select retailer
Choose the retailer where you would like to load cash. Participating retailers and any applicable fees are listed on the Add with Barcode screen.

Add cash
Show the cashier the unique barcode and give them the cash for the reload & reload fee (if applicable). Your money will be automatically added to your spendwell account.

You can add funds at a Dollar General register. Tell the cashier that you want to add money to your spendwell account. Once you have received your personalized card, you can add anywhere between $20 - $500 per transaction to your account.
