With spendwell, the choice is yours!
Choose between a spendwell® Cash Back Bank Account and Visa® debit card that offers 1% unlimited cash back1 everywhere you shop, or a spendwell® No Monthly Fee Bank Account and Visa debit card that has a $0 monthly fee. Then either:
Buy a spendwell® Visa Debit Card at a Dollar General store* near you to begin using your spendwell temporary card, then register at myspendwell.com/go to access the full benefits and features of the spendwell account; or
Once you register online, you will receive a personalized debit card in the mail at the address you provided.
*Please Note: When purchasing a card at Dollar General, payment must be made with cash.

There is no cost for signing up for any account online. There is a $1 purchase price if you purchase a card in a store. Additional fees apply – see fees for your account in the applicable Agreement listed at myspendwell.com/legal.

Locate the card activation notification and click the ACTIVATE button
(NOTE: You may have to click the arrow > to scroll past the first notification to get the card activation notification)

You must add funds to your account in order to use your virtual temporary debit card. Once you’ve added funds to your account, you can use your virtual temporary debit card for online purchases and in-store purchases when added to your digital wallet until your personalized spendwell debit card arrives.
Log into your spendwell account to access your virtual temporary card number, CVV code and expiration date. Do not use your temporary virtual debit card number for recurring payments such as memberships or subscriptions as it will be deactivated once you activate your personalized spendwell debit card.

The spendwell mobile app allows you to manage your account from wherever you are.2 In addition to viewing your balance, you can also:
Cash a check using Mobile Check Capture by Ingo® Money3
Find retail locations where you can add cash and generate a barcode for a cash reload
Get your Account and Routing Numbers to set up direct deposit
Transfer money to other spendwell cardholders
View monthly statements, recent transactions, and goal balances
Set up and/or manage subaccounts

Yes, you can receive text message and/or email alerts to stay informed about your spendwell account activity, including:
Low balance alerts
Money added
Available balance
To set up alerts:
Log in to your spendwell account and go to My Profile.
Select Notification Settings, located under the settings section.
Under the Text and/or Email column, check the box next to each type of alert you wish to set up. If you want to opt out of a text or email alert you are currently receiving, simply uncheck the appropriate box.
For balance alerts, enter the amount at which you’d like to get a notification if the balance drops below. For example, you would enter $10.00 if you’d like to receive an alert whenever the balance drops below $10.00. Please note that this is a required field and must be filled out in order to set up your alerts properly.
Select Save Changes and your text and email alert settings will be updated.
